The Blacks In Cybersecurity External Training Program is designed to provide accessible and affordable training to our community.
The formal BIC-Training program consists of all forms of BIC sponsored educational initiatives.
The onsite/online training is offered by instructors, companies, sponsors and partners at conferences and events.
Training Program Tiers
BIC-Classes@[CONFERENCE]
BIC-Classes are an add-on to the conference speaker lineup the day(s) of the conference.
In this format, individual instructors are provided space from the venue to host their seminars, classes and workshops for walk-in ready for attendees. RSVP is requested so that those who indicated they would like to attend can guarantee a seat and we as the venue providers can ensure we have enough space/workspace for everyone. These are free or with a small fee depending on the event (Example: for a soldering class, attendees may be asked to pay five dollars for solder materials,etc.)
BIC-Training@[FACILITATOR]
BIC-Training(s) are premier training modules set in a range of foundational to niche and highly requested materials during or before conference day(s) or at separate events.
In this format, the BIC-Training(s) are a series of talks, workshops, and in depth/advanced training that are curated by BIC at BIC Events. These class materials are more curated as far as distribution of knowledge and content. They are often charged separately and are longer (2 hours - 2 Days) with labs or books attached to them.
